Curb Appeal
Curb appeal is your first chance to create a positive impact on buyers before they step foot into your house. The pluses and minuses that jump out at buyers create their first perception of your home and how you keep up your home's regular maintenance. Knowing this helps us to decide what we can do to draw buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't pretty on the outside with retouched paint and colorful garden plants we'll need to tackle those as well. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your house's final selling price.

Make yourself at home...
Can buyers envision themselves hanging out in your living space, reading a good book in your reading nook or inviting family and friends over for a dinner in your dining room? We want your home to welcome buyers and give them a sense of easy living. We'll help you do this by recommending small improvements that enhance the features of your home. We'll help you get rid of anything that gives the illusion of clutter. Table and counter tops should be clutter-free. Kitschy sculptures, souvenirs, family photos, and kids' works of art should get moved out of sight. You need to give mass appeal to the home so buyers can perceive it as their new home.
Every area gets a once-over. Enhancements that directly impact your sale price include easy-to-fix items like pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need new paint, carpet that needs to be steamed, fixtures that need replacing, and windows that need cleaning.
We'll make sure that your home has mass appeal and that it's comfortable, staying away from "loud" or "can't-work-with" shades on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can try renting furniture. The goal is for your house to look ready to live in as opposed to uninhabited.

Setting the Stage We'll tell you when to open your home up to buyers, because everything comes together to paint a picture of what buyers can envision when they consider buying your house. Dark living areas can be a real mood killer, so we'll do things like draw back curtains and add lighting where needed to invite the buyer inside. Together we'll enhance the air of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests tour your home and assure a pleasing aroma flows room-to-room. We'll make use of cozy-looking bedspreads, and place pillows on your sofa and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your house has the potential to be. |
